Temperatures have dropped, the knits have come out and so have darker colours—blacks, navy’s, burgundy’s and plums.
I love Autumn, not because of the cold (although I do tend to thank God for the reduction in heat), but the fashion. Everyone is updating their wardrobes and trying to protect themselves against the ever-changing weather.
I haven’t given my nails some colour in a while, and I had that craving to pamper myself, so I headed to Superdrug on my lunch break for a treat. I found Rimmel’s 60 Seconds Black Cherries nail polish. I also picked up their Nail Base & Top Nail Nurse (I couldn’t find the exact one online, so I linked something similar) because I can no longer do my nails without some sort of protection. And this has proven to be quite favourable. In fact, it’s recommended.
When I took the picture above, I’d had Black Cherries on my nails for two days. That, for me, is a big deal because my nail polishes never usually last me longer than a day. I know, that is ridiculous. It is also the reason why I hadn’t done my nails for a while, because I was tired of doing it and having to redo it so quickly.
But I know that the Nail Nurse definitely has something to do with the length of time that my nail polish is lasting. Today is the third day and it’s still intact.
The Black Cherries 60 seconds nail polish is definitely quick-drying, which is a pro for me, because time is also an issue when it comes to doing my nails. I love the colour. It is darker than what I was looking for, so I will probably go back for a lighter burgundy-type shade, but it is growing on me.
Overall, I’m very happy with my purchases and I will definitely be wearing Black Cherries throughout these colder months.
What are you all wearing on your nails?
