Happy Monday everyone! I hope it really is for you. You may not have gotten up on the right side of the bed this morning, but don’t let how you feel determine what the rest of your day is like.
“It is not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are”
One of the reasons why people can be undecided is because they don’t know what they stand for. I’m not talking about finding it hard to make insignificant decisions like what to eat that day, but the big things – decisions that can have a snowball effect and make a serious impact on their lives.
Your values play a part in defining how you live your life. When you know what you stand for, you won’t compromise. You don’t want to be made to feel uncomfortable by succumbing to something you don’t agree with.
Peer pressure can have a lot to do with why people find it hard to make decisions or rather, why they end up making the wrong decisions. Instead of being firm and saying “no”, they give in. I have been in this situation many times before. I went along with what everyone else was doing even though I wasn’t comfortable. Back then, I was weak minded and a follower of the crowd. And because of this, I was always unhappy.
I found happiness when I chose to define my values. I finally knew myself. And now I don’t find it hard to make decisions that will benefit me, even if the majority don’t agree.
I hope you know what you stand for.
