I like the simple things in life – fresh flowers on the windowsill, clean bedsheets and a sweet-smelling room. An unplanned purchase during a visit to Marks & Spencer satisfied the latter and the homeware lover in me.
I was only meant to return an item at my local store, but upon passing through the homeware section, I had to stop in my tracks. The candles, diffusers and room sprays were just too tempting, and the affordable prices made it even worse. I get my love of scents from my mum. There are always candles or diffusers strewn throughout her house. It’s one of the many reasons I love going to visit.
After being mesmerised by the colours, ranges and designs on the shelves, I settled for this £4 white jasmine room spray in this purple, glass bottle – so simple and yet aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I knew I’d made the right choice when the sales assistant confirmed that I had picked the best one. 😉
The fragrance produces short bursts of floral freshness, perfect for when you’ve just cleaned and want to add that final unseen touch. The scent doesn’t linger too long, but you definitely notice the difference before and after. I love to use it when I’ve finished cleaning and opened the windows and door to let the spray mix with the fresh air.
At only £4, it won’t break the bank and it’s a sweet little investment for your home. You can view M&S’ home fragrance and candle collection here. I’m hoping to get my hands on one of their affordable long-lasting candles soon.
