We’re nearing the end of another year – a whole 365 days – and as usual, I could not get by without a diary on hand. I think I am the only person I know that uses a paper diary every single day of the year 😂 (let me know in the comments if you do too). Let’s just say I’ve created a habit and it’s stuck. I use it to track so many things, so it is one of my New Year essentials. I literally look forward to and plan when I will purchase my new diary so that I can already start inputting my goals for the next year. It’s a ritual.
Speaking of tracking, this £10 diary I found at Paperchase left me gobsmacked at the level of detail it includes, making it the perfect tool to stay on top of goals and daily life. The cover alone was a hook, line and sinker because, personally, 2020 definitely calls for some leaping.
366 days? Yep, 2020 is a leap year. I really like how the diary encourages you to have your own mission statement for the year, even if you don’t write it down on this page. A mission statement is a summary that a business creates, outlining its overall purpose and aims.
Each month has a cover page with a motivational quote.
Throughout the diary, there are numerous opportunities to plan, prioritise, reflect and reward yourself. Rewarding is something I do not do enough of, and this little helper will be a great reminder that I should pay more attention to the things that did happen that month, rather than focusing on what I wasn’t able to tick off my list.
I honestly don’t know which sections make me more excited. The weekly view is genius, complete with a to-do list, meal planner, tracker and priorities. So, as well as staying on top of the month, you can break down your goals into smaller objectives, ensuring that no week passes idly by. This diary was made for me💃
Lastly, this retrospective page features after each month. I can take note of my highlights, assess the challenges I faced and review my goals.
You really do get a good deal with this diary and its inexpensive price, and I am so happy with this purchase. Bring on 2020!
