How is everyone doing? I hope you are all keeping well and staying safe. It is a very strange time but we will get through it. I’m just annoyed at how sunny it has been over the past week when we don’t have the freedom to come and go as we please. Ah well, c’est la vie 😅.
Today, I am bringing you some skincare. I love to take care of my skin. Having a moment to pamper myself makes me feel boujee without having to pay the price for special treatments, although a little indulgence every once in a while doesn’t hurt 😉. My priority is to keep my largest organ hydrated and detoxed, so I always choose masks with those credentials.
The British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask is the first mask I have used from The Body Shop. I wanted a more affordable version of Kiehls Calendula & Aloe Soothing Hydration Masque, and this is the closest comparison in terms of its consistency and purpose. I managed to get this just before the lockdown here in the UK and prior to The Body Shop closing its doors for the foreseeable future.
This facial mask is infused with rose petals, rosehip oil, rose essence and organic aloe vera, all of which are good for hydration and giving the skin a dewy appearance. The product is 100% vegan and I personally think that the real rose petals add a nice touch and a little luxury.
I love the way that the gel mask feels on my face. It is soothing and refreshing, and it does not irritate my, at times, sensitive skin. It also has a fresh and pleasant smell that isn’t overpowering.
The recommended use is 2-3 times a week. However, I only apply it once a week because my daily skincare routine is all about hydration (see this post – my routine needs updating again), and I wouldn’t want to overdo it.
The British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask retails at £18, but I managed to get it for a discounted price with the use of a gift voucher.
Have you ever used this mask before or any other from The Body Shop?
