I adore spring – the delicate pink and white blossom that is blown about in the wind; waking up to the sun streaming through the window; warmer, longer days and leaving work when the sun is still shining. Yes, there’s nothing quite like it.
Unfortunately, I am one of those that also experiences the ugly side of the season – itchy eyes and throat, sneezing and constantly blowing my nose, but I refuse to focus on that. I’m way too happy that the sun is back to let hayfever stop me from enjoying it. I just stock up on hayfever tablets and I’m good to go.
Spring is a beautiful season to witness. The growth and renewal of life is a visual demonstration that nothing lasts forever. The cold and dark of night always gives way to brightness in the morning.
There are quite a few blossom trees in my area. On one of my days off, I enjoyed a short trip to my small shopping centre. The weather was warm, the sky was clear and blue, and I didn’t think that I’d enjoy such a simple experience as much as I did.
But sometimes it truly is the little things, and maybe we need to embrace them more instead of only waiting for something great to happen before we crack a smile.
“Enjoy the little things in life for someday you will realise they were the big things.”
Have a great week!
