Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope you enjoyed the four-day weekend away from work, and the beautiful weather that we were graced with in London. I know I did. 😄
I spent the majority of the weekend commemorating the real reason for the season. I was in church on Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday and I wanted to show you what I wore for the Sunday service.
I loved everything about my outfit that day because it was lightweight and airy, so that my skin could breathe. The crochet top has a peplum design and bell sleeves, so it is feminine and flattering (it would be a lot more flattering if I hadn’t put on any weight 😅 I’m working on it).
Culottes are amazing because they are most often high waisted and wide leg. These have an extra surprise – a modest slit down each leg. They are my favourite tailored trousers in my wardrobe and I wore them twice this past weekend. They work well for multiple engagements; you could wear them to work, to church or if you have a dinner date.
Unfortunately my bag is out of stock, but it has been an investment I couldn’t be happier with. It wasn’t expensive at all by the way, but I consider something an investment that I can use over and over, and it lasts me forever. I bought it in July 2018 and it is still going strong. It is my go-to when I’m wearing a formal outfit, or if I need it to upscale a casual look. It is quite spacious so I can fit a lot into it, and the fact that it is black with basic gold details means that it goes with a lot.
I really do hope that the warm weather is here to stay. I’d hate for us to have had such a great weekend, only for the skies to turn grey and dreary as if to say, “Okay, that’s enough sun for one weekend.” Here’s hoping. Have a great day!
